What is Sales Edge?

Sales Edge is a curated suite of industry research tools and features within the IBISWorld platform that help transform the way sales professionals navigate the sales cycle—from identifying new opportunities to closing deals with authority.

Is Sales Edge a product?

No, Sales Edge is not one specific product. It’s a recommended suite of tools and features for sales and business development professionals seeking to sharpen their skills. The curated solutions are integrated with our thousands of Industry Reports and include:

  • Our AI-powered economist, Phil, who helps you generate nurture emails.

  • A co-branding feature, which positions your solutions with our data to establish value and authority with future customers.

Can I purchase the Sales Edge tools separately?

For access to Sales Edge, you must also subscribe to an Industry Report collection from IBISWorld to establish membership. Memberships can be tailored to include some or all of the curated Sales Edge solutions. Although we recommend using all four tools and features together, exceptions can be made.

What are the benefits of Sales Edge?

Sales Edge supports at least four different stages of the sales cycle, assisting with:

  • Expanding and targeting prospects using the Industry Wizard

  • Making quality engagement using Call Prep Questions and our Salesforce app

  • Nurturing and building relationships using Phil’s AI-generated email templates

  • Presenting your offer using co-branded industry insights that reinforce value

How much does Sales Edge cost?

Sales Edge pricing varies depending on the type of membership you establish. For example, co-branding and AI features often come standard with our enterprise-wide memberships but may incur an extra fee for single-user plans. Meanwhile, Call Prep Questions come standard on all memberships, but aren’t accessible through Salesforce without purchasing the associated app. The Industry Wizard also comes at an added cost to all members.

How do I access Sales Edge once I’ve added it to my membership?

Can I use Sales Edge without Salesforce?

Yes. The Salesforce app is where we recommend accessing our Call Prep Questions, but you can also access them on the IBISWorld platform. The Salesforce app offers other insights and features, beyond Call Prep Insights, that accelerate the sales cycle. For example, using the Salesforce app, you can also explore industry benchmarks and financial metrics for better pre-call research and ongoing tracking. Are there other sales-driven tools I should add to my membership outside of Sales Edge?

Yes. Depending on your business goals and location, you may be interested in adding:
