Developer Information

Do I need an authentication token to access IBISWorld’s industry classifications data in Snowflake?

No, you will not need any authentication tokens. The only requirement is that you have a Snowflake account/instance with enough permissions to accept data on the marketplace.

Are there specific coding languages that users must know to implement this data?

Users of IBISWorld’s Snowflake product will need to use Snowflake SQL Query Language to extract the information from our Views. From there, it can interact with their system and, hence, is up to the user’s discretion which language they use to interact with the information.

What are the specific database names or schemas used?

The Listing will automatically allocate the Listing Title as the database name when used. To simplify this, we recommend creating a custom database name for internal use. For example, the Listing:

IBISWorld - Industry Classification Systems (NAICS, ANZSIC, ISIC, UK-SIC, etc.)

will take this Listing title and create a database name as:

Industry_Classification_Systems_NAICS_ANZSIC_ISIC_UKSIC_etc_

This could be simplified to something like:

IBISWorld_Classifications

The schema will default to IBISWorld’s schema named REPORTS.
